Crafts Recycling with Washi Tape
Washi tape can be creatively used to recycle old crafts and plastic containers. Use your creative skills and decorate your crafts in an efficient way.
You can use washi tapes in various ways, because it is quite easy and quick to decorate some crafts with it. You can design a washi tape or ribbon holder that usually looks like a little lamp shade. You can place the ribbon role or washi tape by taking out the hood. You can recycle a used pen to design a ribbon holder. The central plastic rim is used to tightly fit the shaft of the ribbon holder. It is an inexpensive way to recycle the craft.
Things you need:
- Gems container
- Mosquito repellent bottle
- Used pen
- Washi tape
- Glue gun
Steps to Follow
- The mosquito repellent bottle is used to design the base of the lampshade, but make sure to carefully rinse the bottle to remove remaining insecticide. The bottle contains a plastic rim that may tightly fit the pen, or pencil used as ribbon holder. Prefer to use a bottle with a small neck, or if the bottle has large neck, then use clay or sponge to reduce its size.
- Cover the dome of mosquito repellent with washi tape and make use a pen as rod like structure. Inner plastic rim will tightly hold the pen and the glue gun will be used to strong the adhesive.
- You can use colorful stickers, rhinestones, plastic butterflies, pom pom lace, feathers, ribbons or any other fancy embellishment to decorate your lampshade.
